Step-by-Step Instructions
| Step | Instruction |
|---|---|
| 1 |
Introduce the Activity: Explain the activity goal and how we use our senses to explore the world around us. |
| 2 |
Discuss Each Sense: Talk about how each sense helps us experience different sensations—touch for textures, taste for flavours, hearing sounds, seeing objects, and smelling scents. |
| 3 |
Explore the Activity Card: Place the activity card in front of the child. Ask them to identify the objects in the images and discuss where they’ve seen or used each object before. |
| 4 |
Prompt Sensory Thinking: Encourage the child to think about which sense is used for each object. Use the “eye” of the duck to reveal the correct answer. |
| 5 |
Positive Reinforcement: Praise the child for recognizing and matching senses correctly to encourage confidence and understanding. |
| 6 |
Rotate and Repeat: Rotate the card to reveal new images and continue prompting the child to identify the sense used for each one. |
