Step-by-Step Instructions

| 1 | Set up the activity: Lay out all materials. Explain: “We’ll make yummy cones by matching scoops to the flashcards!” |
| 2 | Introduce a flashcard: Show one card. Count scoops and observe colour order together. Ask: “How many scoops?” “What colour is the first scoop?” |
| 3 | Find matching scoops: Help the child select cut-outs that match the colours and order on the flashcard. Arrange on the table first. |
| 4 | Stick scoops on the cone: Attach each scoop to the cone on the activity sheet using velcro, following the pattern. |
| 5 | Try a new flashcard: Pick another card and repeat—count, identify colours, and build the cone. |
| 6 | Celebrate the creations: Praise: “Wow! What a delicious-looking ice cream!” Optionally take photos or display them as an “ice cream shop.” |
