Materials Needed

  • Activity sheet featuring a swing with numbers (1–6) for sequencing good habits
  • Cutting sheet with pictures of 3 doors labelled for the home rooms & good habits
  • Cutouts of bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen pictures
  • Child-safe scissors
  • Glue

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step Instruction
1 Gather Materials:
Collect and organize all materials in the workspace.
2 Recall Good Habits:
Discuss daily good habits, such as waking up early and brushing teeth.
3 Explain the Activity:
Show the child the two activity sheets. The first sheet has a swing numbered 1 to 6, where they will paste pictures of good habits in sequence.
4 Cut and Sequence:
Help the child cut along the lines of the good habit images using scissors. Then guide them to arrange and paste the pictures in the correct order on the swing using glue.
5 Celebrate Creativity:
Praise the child’s efforts and creativity.
6 Discuss “My Home” Concept:
Introduce the concept of “my home,” explaining the Bedroom, Bathroom, and Kitchen.
7 Cut and Match Room Pictures:
Help the child cut out the room pictures and match them to the correct doors on the cutting sheet. Read the room names aloud as they match them.
8 Paste the Cutouts:
Guide the child to paste the room cutouts onto the corresponding doors.
9 Celebrate Creativity:
Praise the child again for their attention to detail.
10 Ask Questions:
Reinforce learning with questions:
• In which room do we find a pressure cooker?
• Which room do you spend the most time in?
• In which room do we find a pillow?
