Materials Needed

  • Game board with colour-themed patterns and actions to perform
  • Colour dice
  • 2 player cutouts with EVA base (blue and pink)
  • 1 flash card titled "Question Time" (with 10 questions)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step Instruction
1 Set up the Materials:
Place all the materials together—board game, player cutouts, and dice. Help the child fix the player cutouts on the two EVA bases (blue and pink). Also fold the dice for play.
2 Explain the Game Rules:
Inform the child that players will take turns rolling the dice. Each player will move their piece to the corresponding coloured section, perform actions, and answer questions until they reach the finish line.
3 Get Started:
Let the child roll the dice and see which colour appears. Guide them to move their player to the nearest matching colour on the board from the start point.
4 Perform the Action:
Follow the action on the board that corresponds to the colour. The child may need to jump, dance, clap, sing, or answer a question. Some spots may not have an activity.
5 Answer the Questions:
Guide the child that if the dice lands on a Question Time spot, they should take a flashcard question and answer it while listening carefully.
6 Take Turns:
After performing an action, the next player rolls the dice and continues the same way.
7 Enjoy the Game:
Encourage the child to continue rolling the dice, performing actions, and answering questions until they reach the finish line. Remind them to have fun, whether they win or lose, and enjoy time spent with family and friends.
